Officials said boater "reported seeing a capsized 50-foot catamaran to Coast Guard watchstanders approximately 65 miles east of Brunswick, Georgia." The Coast Guard said that two missing boaters were identified as David Wickenden, 54, and Charles Andrade, 60.
Coast Guard Sector Charleston rescue crews searched for approximately 77 hours by air and sea for the two missing men, the Coast Guard said. They also said that they searched over 9,000 square miles.
