SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) -- Lidl grocery stores have issued an urgent recall after listeria was found in one of its products.
The product in question is the 150g size of Deluxe Sriracha Chedder Cheese Wedge. The Food Standards Agency (FSA) said listeria monocytogenes were found in the batch.
The bacteria can cause symptoms similar to flu, like a high fever, muscle aches and pains, chills, nausea, and diarrhea. In rare cases, the infection can cause serious complications like meningitis.
The affected batch has a "best before" date of May 11, 2025. Anyone has bought the product should not eat it. The cheese can be returned to any Lidl store for a full refund.
