Sara Perry who lives in the Orlando area arrived at the shelter with her pit bull stuffed in the trunk of her car. She wanted to surrender the dog saying she could not afford to feed him. But she was turned away because the shelter had no room she she put the dog back in the trunk.
Fortunately a shelter worker took a picture of her license plate and the sheriff showed up and arrested her (a felony). The sheriff said the dog was clearly neglected and is now being cared for and when ready will be put up for adoption and provided a better home.
