Kelly Rowland and Nelly gave numerous lucky fans a surprise performance they'll never forget.
The seasoned artists teamed up on stage for the first time in years at the 2024 Baby2Baby Gala on Saturday night, November 9. In footage posted to social media, you can see both superstars on stage just moments before they performed their classic collaboration "Dilemma." As soon as the beat came, fans in the crowd began screaming.
"I think it's only right since I have this request from everybody," Nelly told Kelly. "I feel honored. Thank you for joining me up here to make this happen one time."
The duo performed their hit in front of an intimate crowd like it was the early 2000s. Both of their spouses were in the room as Nelly and Kelly took fans back to a much simpler time in their respective careers. Later on, Nelly and Ashanti posed in photos with Kelly Rowland and her husband Tim Witherspoon.
"Dilemma" arrived as the second single from 2002 Nelly's sophomore album Nellyville. Their song, which samples Patti LaBelle's 1983 song "Love, Need and Want You," also appeared on Rowland's debut album Simply Deep, which arrived that same year. "Dilemma" spent 10 non-consecutive weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 and even replaced Nelly's first single "Hot In Herre." The song was nominated for Record of the Year and won Best Rap/Sung Performance at the 45th Grammy Awards.
Of course, the "Dilemma" music video was also a hit among fans and is still talked about today. See more clips from their reunion and relive Nelly and Kelly Rowland's music video for "Dilemma" below.
