Mary J. Blige is back with a brand-new joint from what could be her "final" album.
On Friday, October 18, the decorated singer delivered her latest single "You Ain't The Only One." Mary begins the song by reflecting on the sorrow and anguish she experienced in the past. After wiping away her tears, the Grammy Award winner croons about overcoming her struggles and encourages others to keep going no matter what.
"We all have pain, been through some things in our life, why complain cause the world don't care," she sings. "Life is a game, just play the hand that you're dealt so the sun will shine through the rain."
"You Ain't The Only One" arrives a day before she's set to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. It's the second single from her upcoming album Gratitude following her recent track "Breathing" featuring Fabolous. MBJ first sparked hype for her 15th studio album after she shared "Still Believe In Love" with Vado last October. Ahead of her "Strength of a Woman Summit" earlier this year, Mary made fans' jaws drop when she indicated that her next LP might be her last.
"This is another album, and it's probably my last studio album," she told People. "I've been doing it for a while. I love it, I enjoy it, and it might be the last studio album. It might be."
Last month, Mary J. Blige revealed the title of her project, its release date and the plans for her upcoming "For My Fans Tour" with Ne-Yo and Mario. Gratitude is slated to arrive on November 15. Listen to her new song and see the dates for her 2025 tour below.
