Gymnastics star Simone Biles appeared to throw shade at former President Donald Trump, referencing one of his previous comments after she won her second gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

“I love my black job,” Biles wrote on X, formerly Twitter on Friday (August 2).

Biles made the comment in response to a post about her winning gold in the women's gymnastics team final and individual all-around at the Paris Olympics.

“Simone Biles being the GOAT, winning Gold medals and dominating gymnastics is her black job,” singer Ricky Davila tweeted.

The "Black job" comment was an apparent jab at Trump, who initially introduced the phrase during his debate with President Joe Biden earlier this year. The former president claimed that migrants were “taking Black jobs now … they’re taking Black jobs and they’re taking Hispanic jobs”.

Trump again used the term during his appearance at the National Association of Black Journalists convention in Chicago on Wednesday (July 31).

“I will tell you that coming — coming from the border are millions and millions of people that happen to be taking Black jobs. You had the best —” Trump said during a question and answer session.

When a moderator asked him what a "Black job" was, Trump said: “A Black job is anybody that has a job. That’s what it is.

“Anybody that has a job,” he added.
