Oprah Winfrey Butchers Mariah Carey Lyrics In Iconic Meme Reenactment

If you're part of Mariah Carey's Lambily, the superstar's 2005 rendition of "We Belong Together" on the Oprah Winfrey Show holds a special place in your heart. Now, years later, the two have recreated their viral meme moment from the performance and it's just perfect.

In case you're out of the loop, during promotion for The Emancipation of Mimi in the mid-2000s, MC performed on Oprah's show, but the chatter fell on the host's hilarious fail of an attempt to sing along to the smash hit. To promote their interview on the latter's Apple+ series, The Oprah Conservation, for the pop titan’s new memoir, The Meaning of Mariah Carey, the stars decided to reenact the golden moment and it’s what stan dreams are made of. "Hey Siri, would you be a doll and send Oprah the correct lyrics to 'We Belong Together' before I see her on the 24th?" Mariah quipped in a video after Oprah was seen lip syncing the incorrect lyrics once again.

In a previously released preview for the sit-down interview, Carey spoke about the struggles she faced growing up biracial. The singer’s mother is of Irish descent and her father was African-American and African-Venezuelan. Asked how her hair was an issue in identifying herself, Carey said that she had lighter and unkempt hair growing up and none of her family members could relate. "So, on both sides of the spectrum I feel like I was hated on by certain people in my family for having the lighter hair," she explained. "But then if they only realized, like no, actually, I have like matted hair, which is frizzy and curly."

The Meaning of Mariah Carey drops on Tuesday.
