One Subway employee was killed and another injured by a customer over an argument about "too much mayo". The incident happened at a location on Northside Drive in Atlanta just after 6:30pm on Sunday, June 26.

The Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office identified the victim as 26-year-old Brittany Macon. Brittany Macon is from Savannah, Georgia and attended Windsor Forest High School. Dozens of tributes from former classmates have poured in for Macon online.

Macon's family spoke to 11alive saying she started her job at the Subway location about three weeks ago. They added that she was intelligent and sweet and had planned and paid for a big family reunion a month prior.

Authorities said a 36-year-old came into the restaurant, shot and killed Macon, and injured another employee. The owner and police said that the 5-year-old son of the employee injured was inside during the shooting and witnessed the entire incident.

Family members identified the second employee as 24-year-old Jada Nicole Statum. As of Monday afternoon, Statum's family say she was in critical condition.

According to Atlanta police, a suspect has been arrested, but no name has been released at this time.
