Alicia Keys Drops New Album 'Alicia'

Alicia Keys has returned with her brand new album, simply titled: ALICIA.

ALICIA is Keys' first new album in four years and follows the release of 2016's Here. The new project showcases 15 new songs including features from artists like Khalid, Miguel, Jill Scott, Sampha, Tierra Whack, Snoh Aalegra and Diamond Platinumz.

Fans were first introduced to the new album a year ago with her song "Show Me Love," which she performed during the 2019 iHeartRadio Music Festival.

At the beginning of the year after Alicia released the inspiring "Underdog," which features writing credits from Ed Sheeran and is co-produced by Snow Patrol's Johnny McDaid. Keys explained of the song's meaning, "Some people may think of the word underdog as a negative word but I see it as a powerful word representing people who may be underestimated and yet still rise to the challenge and exceed expectations". She added, "I love this song so much because it's about real life and real people and our experiences. We've all been in a place in our lives where we've had to defy the odds. It's never easy. One of my favorite lyrics in the song is, 'They say I would never make it but I was built to break the mold.' I don't think there's a person on the planet that hasn't felt that way."

Alicia announced her "ALICIA World Tour" in January, but is rescheduling the worldwide trek due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Keys is set to perform during the 10th anniversary of the iHeartRadio Music Festival this weekend, September 18 and 19. Fans can tune in to watch the festival live on The CW App and CWTV.com on September 18 and 19 at 9pm ET/6pm PT, and relive all of the epic performances during a two-night Festival highlights special on September 27 and 28 from 8-10pm ET/PT.
