LA Deputies Shared Graphic Photos Of Kobe Bryant Crash Scene

Multiple Los Angeles County Sheriff's Deputies shared gruesome photos of the crash scene where Kobe Bryant, his daughter, Gianna, and seven others lost their lives, TMZ reports.

According to the outlet, a trainee showed pictures from the crash site to a woman in a bar days after the horrific January 26 crash. "He tried to impress a girl by showing her the photos," said a source. Adding, a bartender overheard the conversation and filed an online complaint with the Sheriff's Dept.

Photos were also reportedly passed around by members of the Los Angeles County Fire Department, sparking an internal investigation, and by the Lost Hills Sheriff's substation — the first responders to the crash. Sources added, deputies from other substations around Los Angeles County also took cell phone photos.

At least one L.A. County Sheriff's officials had the photos on his cell phone "in a setting that had nothing to do with the investigation," The Los Angeles Times reports.

Insiders additionally told TMZ, multiple L.A. County Sheriff's deputies, who responded to the crash scene took photos that included remains.

The Sheriff's Department has known about the sharing of the graphic photos for three weeks. They reportedly contacted families of all of the victims on Wednesday (February 26), according to the LA Times. An official told the outlet that the reason for contacting them was not because of the allegation, but because there was a media inquiry over the allegation.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Deputy Maria Lucero told The Associated Press on Friday (February 28) that "the matter is being looked into."
