Janelle Monae Previews New Album 'Dirty Computer' With Two New Videos

Janelle MonĂĄe has offered fans with a preview of her forthcoming third studio album, Dirty Computer, and its April 27 release date, with the unveiling of two brand-new videos from the project: "Make Me Feel" and "Django Jane."

On Thursday (February 22), MonĂĄe announced that the forthcoming project, which she described as an "Emotion Picture," will include an album and accompanying narrative film. In addition to revealing details around the venture, the singer also released two new singles and their partner music videos. MonĂĄe's newest era was teased via her Instagram account just last week. Pre-orders for the album are currently available

As with most of her videography, both clips are slick, eye-popping results of MonĂĄe's stylized eye. While "Make Me Feel" captures the feel-good aura of 1980s music and dance revolution, "Django Jane" sees her create a poised ode to black girl magic with the help of directors Andrew Donoho and Chuck Lightning.

In a recent interview, the R&B singer said that she has a lot of fear about the release of Dirty Computer as opposed to 2010's The ArchAndroid and 2013's The Electric Lady. "You know what, I’m going to be 100 percent honest — I’m scared," she revealed. "Just the thought of it is kind of freaking me out a little bit but I feel like it’s something that I need to do. It's something that I always knew I needed to do and it's going to happen. The album is going to happen, it's coming. You know all I can say is at least I've been very honest. That's all I can really do as an artist."
